The worst part of someone helping you is sometimes they cause more problems, and you would be better off being left on your own.
I had help from a neighbor uncoupling the tow ball, the next time I came to use the stabiliser the ratchet was jammed and would not move needless to say I was not pleased. The cause is the ratchet wheel has been turned back too far and the pad retaining clip is now embedded into the plastic of the wheel. Luckily it is an easy fix, put the hitch onto the tow ball (or have something inside the hitch to hold the pads in place) using a 10mm socket over the retaining pin give the socket a tap with a hammer this will free the pin from the plastic wheel.
